Residence 24 A Study in Elevation and Rotation

Residence 24 is a bold departure from conventional residential geometry, defined by a design process that prioritizes the horizon. At its core, the project is a narrative of verticality and movement; rather than grounding the social heart of the home, the architecture lifts the living spaces and rotates them, pivoting the entire volume toward the most commanding views. This deliberate "architectural twist" creates a dynamic play of light and shadow, resulting in a silhouette that shifts its character from every angle.

The journey begins at the ground level, where the residence rests on a series of sculptural, angled columns. This open-plan base maintains a light footprint, housing a sheltered car port and a private, self-contained apartment that offers an intimate connection to the landscaped entry. Moving upward, the first floor serves as a serene sleeping wing with three bedrooms. In a unique gesture of connectivity, this level is linked to the backyard’s geometric pool via a suspended pedestrian bridge—a physical extension of the architecture that allows residents to transition from sleep to water in a single, fluid path over the garden.

The vertical ascent concludes on the third floor, a private sanctuary dedicated entirely to the Master Suite. Encased in a textured, charcoal-grey frame, this level offers a tactile contrast to the smooth white volumes below. It is a retreat defined by its openness, where the bedroom flows seamlessly onto a sprawling rooftop terrace. Under the rhythmic lines of a minimalist pergola, this final outdoor space provides a panoramic vantage point, completing the home’s dialogue with its surroundings. Residence 24 is more than a house; it is a curated sequence of views, connected by a bridge and defined by the bold act of turning toward the light.

The house consists of a main suspended bedroom along with two additional bedrooms at the lower level. The design uniquely features two distinct living spaces, each with its own independent entrance, effectively forming two separate yet interconnected residences. At the lower level, a swimming pool extends the concept of fluidity, creating a serene retreat that enhances the relationship between the house and the landscape

The residence is organized into a clear vertical hierarchy: a ground-floor guest apartment nestled beneath sculptural V-columns; a first-floor sleeping wing featuring three bedrooms; a rotated second-floor social core for living and dining; and a third-floor master sanctuary crowned by an expansive rooftop terrace. A signature pedestrian bridge physically unites the architecture with its environment, creating a direct, suspended link from the first-floor quarters to the backyard pool. Through its sharp geometric contrasts and seamless indoor-outdoor flow, Residence 24 stands as a sophisticated landmark of modern vertical living.
