HillHouse – 2

Category: Architecture - Residential Project Type: New Year: 2012 Location: Greece - Patra Size: 280 m²
  • A sculptural single-family residence built from faceted, folded volumes that resist orthogonal logic. Walls tilt and twist out of plumb, window openings cut diagonally across corners rather than meeting at right angles, and the upper floor cantilevers boldly over a single exposed column, its mass appearing to hover above the sloped terrain. This angular language continues inside, where canted walls and ceilings create an irregular, crystalline living space anchored by a sculptural three-sided fireplace. A rooftop pergola, board-formed concrete retaining walls, and a corten steel entrance gate ground the composition in its hillside site, balancing geometric tension with material warmth.
